Workshop Options
Strategic Workshops for AI Leadership
Each workshop is customised to your organisation’s industry, maturity level, and strategic priorities.
Building Your AI-Ready Culture
A keynote helps shift peoples thinking while a workshop shifts behaviour. Most organisations don’t struggle with AI because of the technology. They struggle because their culture isn’t ready for it. Fear, scepticism, passive compliance and a wait-and-see attitude can quietly undermine even the best AI strategy. This workshop gives your leadership team the space to look honestly at where your culture is now and what it needs to become.
Working together, your leaders will identify the specific mindsets and behaviours that are slowing AI adoption in your organisation, agree on the cultural conditions you need to build, and leave with shared commitments rather than a slide deck full of good intentions.
What your team will leave with:
- A clear picture of where your culture is supporting AI adoption and where it is working against it
- Shared language around what AI-readiness actually means for your organisation and your people
- Specific behavioural commitments from each leader about how they will model the culture they want to see
- A set of agreed team norms that create the conditions for confident, purposeful AI adoption
- Practical tools for sustaining momentum and measuring cultural progress after the session
Ideal for:
Senior leadership teams, C-suite and their direct reports, transformation and change leads, organisations at the beginning of or mid-way through an AI adoption journey.
Pairs with: AI Readiness keynote
The Human Edge in Practice
This workshop is built around Helen’s signature framework, The Irreplaceables, which identifies the five human skills that become more valuable as AI capabilities expand: Judgement, Taste, Trust, Originality and Courage. In a keynote, your audience understands why these skills matter. In this workshop, your team examines what they actually look like in your organisation, where they are being underused, and how to redesign the way you work so that human capability is genuinely at the centre rather than being gradually handed over to automation.
This is a session about self-awareness, intentionality and practical application. Participants leave with a clearer sense of where their own human edge lies and how to develop it with greater confidence.
What your team will leave with:
- A working understanding of The Irreplaceables framework and what each of the five skills looks like in your specific context
- An honest assessment of where human capability is currently underused or at risk in your teams and roles
- Individual and team commitments to the behaviours and practices that strengthen each of the five skills
- Practical approaches to role design and team working that put human strengths at the centre
- Greater confidence in what people bring that technology genuinely cannot
Ideal for:
Leadership teams, people managers, HR and talent development leaders, organisations navigating significant change in how work is structured and performed.
Pairs with: The Human Edge keynote
Leading People Through AI Change
The success of any AI transformation depends almost entirely on what happens at the manager level. Managers are the ones translating strategy into daily reality, holding conversations with anxious team members, modelling the attitudes they want their people to adopt and making a hundred small decisions every week that either build or erode confidence in the change.
This workshop is designed specifically for people leaders. It gives managers the clarity, the language and the practical tools to lead their teams through AI-driven change with honesty and confidence. That means understanding how to talk about AI in a way that is realistic rather than dismissive, how to address fear and resistance without amplifying it, how to keep people connected to their purpose when the nature of their work is shifting, and how to lead by example in a way that builds genuine trust rather than compliance.
Participants leave as capable, confident change leaders rather than reluctant messengers passing down communications they don’t fully believe in.
What your team will leave with:
- A practical framework for leading teams through AI change that works across different personality types and levels of readiness
- Language and approaches for the most common and most difficult conversations managers face during AI adoption
- Strategies for addressing fear, resistance and disengagement in a way that is honest and human rather than corporate and dismissive
- Personal commitments around how each leader will show up during the change
- A shared playbook that managers across the organisation can use to create consistent, confident communication with their teams
Ideal for:
People managers and team leaders at all levels, HR business partners, organisations rolling out AI tools or programmes across teams, leadership groups where middle management will be the primary driver of cultural change.
Pairs with: The Human Edge keynote or The AI Powered Workplace keynote
Building Trust in AI Across Your Organisation
Trust is not a given when it comes to AI. It has to be built, communicated clearly and demonstrated consistently. Organisations that skip this step find themselves dealing with resistance that goes deeper than scepticism and disengagement that spreads fast with decisions made about AI that their people simply do not believe in.
This workshop gives leaders the tools and the thinking to build genuine trust in AI across their teams and their organisation. Not the version of trust that comes from telling people everything will be fine, but the kind that comes from transparency, honest communication, clear ethical boundaries and a visible commitment to keeping people informed and involved as AI becomes a bigger part of how the organisation operates.
Working together, your leaders will examine where trust is currently at risk in your organisation, what is causing uncertainty or concern among your people, and what responsible, transparent AI leadership actually looks like in practice for your specific context. This is not a legal or compliance session. It is a leadership and communication session about how you earn and maintain confidence when the stakes feel high.
What your team will leave with:
- A clear understanding of where trust in AI is strong in your organisation and where it is fragile or absent
- Practical communication approaches for talking about AI decisions, changes and outcomes in a way that builds rather than erodes confidence
- A set of leadership principles and behaviours that reflect responsible, transparent AI adoption specific to your organisation
- Strategies for involving your people in AI decisions rather than presenting them with faits accomplis
- Individual and team commitments around how leaders will communicate, model and sustain trust as AI adoption deepens
Ideal for:
Senior leadership teams, HR and people leaders, communications and culture leads, organisations that have experienced resistance or uncertainty around AI, leadership groups preparing to roll out significant AI-enabled change across their teams.
Pairs with: Trust in AI keynote

Frequently Asked Questions
A keynote is designed to inspire, inform and shift mindset across a large audience in 45 to 60 minutes. A workshop is a smaller, more immersive working session where your leadership team or managers move from insight to action. Rather than listening to ideas, participants apply them directly to your organisation’s real challenges and leave with practical commitments and tools they can use immediately. The two work particularly well together, with a morning keynote creating energy and shared understanding across a wider group, followed by an afternoon workshop where your leadership team does the deeper work.
Generally, Helen’s workshops are designed for groups of up to 30 participants, with some sessions working best with smaller groups of 15 to 25. Keeping numbers tight is best because the quality of the conversation, the depth of the work and the relevance of the output all depend on every participant having genuine time to think, contribute and engage. However, if you have a larger group in mind, the workshops can be adapted to ensure the best experience for your teams.
Yes, and this is one of the most popular formats. A morning keynote creates a shared experience and a common language across your wider audience. An afternoon workshop with your leadership team or a specific group then builds directly on that energy, translating the ideas from the keynote into commitments and actions specific to your organisation. Helen structures both elements to flow naturally so the workshop feels like a genuine continuation rather than a separate session bolted on.
Every workshop begins with a discovery conversation, usually two to three weeks before the session, where Helen speaks directly with the event organiser or a senior sponsor to understand your organisation, your people, your current challenges and what you most need participants to leave with. From that conversation Helen shapes the content, the examples and the exercises to reflect your specific context. You are not receiving an off-the-shelf programme with your logo added to the slides.
Yes. All four workshops are available for in-person delivery at your offices, off-site venues or conference settings, as well as for virtual and hybrid formats. Helen adapts the structure and the exercises to suit the format so the experience remains engaging and productive regardless of how your participants are joining. In-person delivery tends to work particularly well for sessions that involve significant group discussion and collaborative work, but virtual delivery can be equally effective when structured thoughtfully.
Typicallt three of the four workshops run for half a day, which is around four hours with breaks. Leading People Through AI Change often runs for a full day of six hours to allow sufficient time for the more in-depth personal and team work that session requires. All timings can be discussed during the discovery conversation if your event format requires some flexibility.
Workshops are working sessions, not extended presentations. Participants spend the majority of their time in facilitated discussion, structured exercises and collaborative work that is directly relevant to their organisation and their roles. Helen introduces frameworks, shares research and draws on examples from across industries, but the emphasis is always on application. Participants leave having done real work together, not having sat and listened.
Participants leave with practical tools, frameworks and personal commitments developed during the session. For organisations that want to sustain the momentum and embed the learning more deeply over time, Helen also offers follow-up sessions and ongoing engagement. To discuss what a longer-term programme might look like for your organisation, get in touch directly.
Ideally six to eight weeks ahead of your intended date. This allows enough time for the discovery conversation, content preparation and any logistical coordination. If you have a tighter timeline, it is always worth getting in touch as availability sometimes allows for shorter lead times. The earlier you confirm the date, the more time Helen has to shape a session that truly reflects your organisation.
Use the contact form on this page or email helen@helensterling.com directly. Helen’s team responds within one working day. If you are interested in combining a workshop with a keynote, or if you are exploring what format would work best for your event, the initial conversation is the right place to start. There is no obligation and no standard package, every engagement begins with a conversation about what you actually need.
